First Movie of the year: American Gangster
Movie last night at Causeway Cathay: American Gangster which lasted for 157mins, equilivent to 2hrs 37 mins... butt cramp by the time the movie ends. haha.Nice movie...
Frank Lucas, a negro, grew up in North Carolina made his way to Harlem and engaged in heorin businesses. He became the heroin kingpin by travelling to Asia's Golden Triangle to make connections and shipped pure heroin back to US in the coffins of soldiers killed in Vietnam. He soon made over a million dollars a day in drug sales. But was shadowed by lawman Richie Roberts who finally helped bring Lucas to justice. Both then worked together to expose the crooked cops and foreign nationals who made importing heroin so easy.
1 word: Violence. but still, i enjoyed the movie!!
